Your shipment docks at the EU port of discharge. Customs opens the document set and begins its initial review.

Discrepancy detected
A weight mismatch, missing reference number, or naming inconsistency surfaces across your submitted documents.

Hold placed on the container
The container moves to a hold bay. Demurrage charges begin immediately: £60 to £250 per day. No grace period.

Recall and correction
Your forwarder must correct and resubmit the documents to customs. The demurrage clock keeps running throughout.
